Accident Benefits Specialist

Most people, once they get over the initial shock of an auto-accident, don't usually know what their rights are, what kind of benefits they are eligible for, and what steps they should take to protect themselves.
As an example, in the province of Ontario, if you get injured in an auto-accident, you may be eligible for:
--Weekly income replacement benefits;
--Medical benefits, which include medications, dental services, and prescription eyewear;
--Rehabilitation benefits, such as physiotherapy, massage therapy, occupational therapy, assistive devices, and job retraining;
--Attendant care, such as private nursing care, and the cost of having a family member attend to your personal needs while you recuperate.;
--Outdoor maintenance, if you can no longer do things like shovel your driveway or mow your lawn;
--Payment for a housekeeper, up to a maximum of $100 per week;
--Transportation to and from medical appointments;
--Payment of expense of your visitors and family members.

Accident benefits specialist is normally an assistant lawyer (paralegal) who provides people with accident benefit support and helps them to receive benefits from their auto-insurers after an accident.


Auto Body Technician 
In general auto body technician repairs/replaces damaged motor vehicle structures, body parts, interior and exterior finishes.
After preparing/reviewing motor vehicle repair estimate reports, auto body technician:
--Uses frame machines to straighten bent frames and unitized bodies;
--R
emoves badly damaged sections of vehicles (e.g., trunk lid, roof, rear body panels, etc.) and welds in new sections;
--Works out minor damage in body panels, fenders, skirting and sheet metal trim, and welds torn metal;
--Covers the bumpers, windows and trims with masking tape and paper, apply primer with a spray gun cleans and smoothes the surface and applies paint;
--Repairs/replaces interior and exterior components such as instrument panels, seat frame assemblies carpets and floorboard insulation, trim panels and mouldings;
--Inspects vehicles for dimensional accuracy and tests drive them to ensure proper alignment and handling.

Auto Detailer

Auto detailer does the task of auto detailing that is the practice of performing an extremely thorough cleaning, polishing and waxing of an automobile, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level of detail. It can be practiced for personal satisfaction, and it is also performed to prepare a car for a competition among automobile owners to be judged on the appearance of their automobiles.
Elements of exterior detailing include:

--claying;
--polishing;
--paint defect correction;
--and waxing;
Interior detailing involves the cleaning of the interior of a vehicle using:
--vacuums;
--liquid cleaners;
--and brushes.
Engine detailing involves cleaning the engine bay area of dirt and grease by using degreasers and all-purpose cleaners.


Auto Electrical Technician or Auto Electrician
In general an auto electrical technician identifies faults and repair electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in motor vehicles and related equipment, such as caravans, trailers, earthmoving equipment, mining equipment, marine applications and agricultural equipment. 
Auto electrical technician may perform the following tasks:
--works with computer-controlled engine management and other systems,
--services, identifies and repairs faulty components of electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, anti-lock braking, cruise control, automatic transmission, air bags and air conditioning systems,
--installs electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors in vehicles,
--installs electrically operated accessories such as radios, heating or demisting equipment, air conditioners, driving lamps and anti-theft systems,
--uses meters, tests instruments and circuit diagrams to find electrical faults,
--adjusts engine control systems and timing to make sure vehicles are running at peak performance,
--tests, reconditions and replaces faulty alternators, generators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries,
--repairs or replaces faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches,
--uses hand tools, specialised electrical tools, instruments and machines, including drills, grinders, presses and lathes,
--solders or welds when repairing electrical parts,
--sells and installs electrical parts and accessories, and
--installs, repairs and services air conditioning components and systems.


Auto Glass Technician
Repairs, removes and installs windshield and glass in vehicles.

Auto Insurance Agent/Broker
Also referred to as auto-insurance sales agent, helps drivers/car owners choose auto-insurance policies that best suit their needs. Insurance agents work for an insurance company, and only sell that company's products. Independent insurance agents, or brokers, represent several companies.

Auto Parts Technician 
In general, parts technician orders, stocks and supplies auto parts.
Auto Parts Technician may perform the following tasks:
--sells supplies and parts;

--
orders parts and keep inventories;
--receives supplies and stores them according to a pre-arranged inventory system;
--organizes and ships exchange parts and returns;
--keeps price lists and catalogues updated;
--prepares statements;
--submits bills;
--keeps records, and
--receives payments.

Auto Salesperson (Consultant)

--Determines the kind of vehicle customers need and particular features they prefer, and points out desirable features of an automobile.

--Demonstrates the vehicle's operation in the showroom or on the road;

--Suggests optional equipment for the customer to purchase;

--Appraises the value of a vehicle to be taken in trade;

--Computes the total sales price, with sales tax, license fees, discount, and trade-in allowance;

--Orders vehicles with the required options from the manufacturer;

--Prepares the sales contract and if needed, obtains required information for completing a credit application;

--Helps the buyer register the vehicle and obtain license plates.

Auto-Technician (or mechanic) performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses faulty operations, and repairs automotive vehicles and light trucks.

Auto-Technician adjusts, tests and repairs engines, steering systems, braking systems, drive trains, vehicle suspensions, electrical and air-conditioning systems, and do wheel alignments.

In large shops, he/she sometimes specializes in repairing, rebuilding and servicing specific parts (e.g., braking systems, suspension and steering systems).
In smaller shops, an Auto-Technician may work on a wider variety of repair jobs.

Auto Technician begins by reading the work order and examining the vehicle to locate the cause of faulty operation and repair it, he/she:
--uses testing equipment, takes the vehicle for a test drive, and/or refer to manufacturers' specifications and manuals;
--D
ismantles faulty assemblies, repairs/replaces worn or damaged parts;
--Reassembles, adjusts and tests the repaired mechanism;
--Performs scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups;
--Advises customers on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements.


Auto Upholsterer
Repairs, replaces and modifies seats, carpets, linings and other internal parts on cars, trucks, boats and motor homes.

Uses knowledge of body repairs to give customers an approximate price on how much their repairs will cost.

Tire Installer
Is responsible for taking tires off vehicles and replacing the old rubber with new one on vehicle's rims.

Tire Repairer patches and repairs tires from all kinds of vehicles.

Traffic Ticket Expert
